Privacy Policy

Our ID-EA.ORG Website is dedicated to protect personal information and will make every reasonable effort to handle collected information appropriately. All information collected, as well as related requests, will be handled as carefully and efficiently as possible in accordance with our standards for integrity and objectivity.

1. The collection of personal information

To log in and create your unique user account ID-EA.ORG will require personal information from you, like your name, title, company/organization/institution name and email address. Your responses to these inquiries are directly linked to your ‘Log-In’ or to the reports, quiz/final exam results and certificate of completion that you may be eligible to earn.

You are not permitted to share your username or password, and similarly, no group log-ins and passwords are permitted. ID-EA.ORG reserves the right to disable any user identification code or password, whether chosen by you or allocated by us, at any time.

2. Collecting domain information

ID-EA.ORG also collects domain information as part of its analysis of the use of our website and e-learning site. We use information in the file we maintain about you, and other information we obtain from your current and past activities on the site, to resolve any disputes, troubleshoot problems and enforce our Terms & Conditions. This is crucially important to maintain the highest academic standards as accessing the e-learning materials, completing the quizzes, being eligible for the final exam and being awarded a certificate of completion are based on your individual performance.

This data enables us to become more familiar with which users visit our site, how often they visit, and what parts of ID-EA.ORG’s website and/or e-learning platform they visit most often. We use such information to improve our web-based information and e-learning services. This information is collected automatically and requires no action on your side. At times, we may look across multiple users to identify problems or resolve disputes, and in particular on rare occasions we may evaluate your information to look for users using multiple User IDs or aliases.

3. Reviewing and changing your personally identifiable information

You can at any time review and change the information you submitted during registration by visiting the “Profile” section within the “Administration” section of ID-EA.ORG’s website and/or e-learning platform. You must promptly update your information if it changes as this will directly influence your “Log-In Status” and/or academic standing and eligibility to both sit for the final exam as well as whether you may be awarded the certificate of completion. Once posted, you cannot change or remove any public postings made in our feedback forums.

4. Disclosure to third parties

We treat our users’ information as private and confidential, and we will not disclose your data to third parties without your express permission or unless required by law.

5. Other information collectors

Except as otherwise expressly discussed in this Privacy Policy, this document only addresses the use and disclosure of information we collect from you. To the extent that you disclose your information to other parties, whether they are other users of our portals or other sites throughout the Internet, different rules may apply to their use or disclosure of the personal information you disclose to them.

6. Security

On the ID-EA.ORG Website and e-learning platform we use our best endeavours to safeguard the confidentiality of your personally identifiable information. You should also be aware that “perfect security” does not exist on the Internet.

7. Use of cookies

Some pages on the ID-EA.ORG website and e-learning site may use “cookies,” which are small files that the site places on your hard drive for identification purposes. These files are used for site registration and customization the next time you visit us. You should note that cookies cannot read data off of your hard drive. Your web browser may allow you to be notified when you are receiving a cookie, giving you the choice to accept it or not. By not accepting cookies, some pages may not fully function and you may not be able to access news, reports as well as educational information or quizzes/exam on ID-EA.ORG’s Website or e-learning platform.

8. Changes to “Privacy Policy”

If we are going to use your personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time of collection, we will make any changes to this Privacy Policy and post them to our site. It is up to you whether you then continue to use the site and ID-EA.ORG’s website and e-learning platform following such changes. However, it is assumed that you accept such changes if you continue to use the portal. If you do not accept such changes then you should stop using ID-EA.ORG’s website and/or e-learning platform and contact us, as per Section 3 above, should you wish to have your details removed.

This statement may change from time to time, so please check back periodically. If you have any concerns about how your information is being used or questions about ID-EA.ORG Privacy Policy, please feel free to contact us.
