Global Health Press’s Health Literacy Program aims to combat the medical infodemic by helping local medical associations enrich their outreach efforts with trusted scientific information. This will counteract fake news, myths, and false beliefs in the healthcare system, especially as it educates the public.

The goal is to create a sustainable network of medical associations that collects and provides current local epidemiological data and other medically relevant information for lay use. The information is used not only on a dedicated country specific website but social media channels, including audio and video podcasts, presented in the local language as well as in English.

Our vision is to provide a trusted public source of scientific medical information on infectious diseases, vaccines, and immunizations to combat fake news in the face of the ongoing infodemic.
