Extreme case report: more than 200 vaccine doses in 29 months A 62-year-old man from Magdeburg, Germany, received 217 COVID-19 vaccine doses over 29 months, with at least 134 doses documented in official records[1,3]. His case provided an unusual opportunity to examine whether extreme repeat vaccination might cause immune dysfunction, immune exhaustion, or autoimmune harm. Schober and colleagues showed that this did not occur. Instead, the man had very high spike-specific antibody titers, abundant memory B cells, and preserved CD4+ and CD8+ T-cell responses. Responses to unrelated antigens, including influenza and tetanus, remained intact, and routine hematology and clinical chemistry findings were unremarkable. Over the observation period, there were no serious adverse events, no evidence of immune exhaustion, no signs of clonal dysregulation, and no de novo autoimmune disease [1,3]. This single case obviously does not support excessive vaccine dosing as a clinical practice, but it offers a striking natural experiment against...
