Introduction The WHO Hub for Pandemic and Epidemic Intelligence, established in September 2021 with the support of the German government, aims to transform global surveillance and response to public health threats by fostering collaboration, innovation, and data-driven decision-making. The COVID-19 pandemic exposed critical gaps in global health preparedness, prompting the creation of the Hub as a catalyst for change in how countries detect, monitor, and respond to emerging health threats.
