Hepatitis A vaccines in the Western world (EMA- or FDA-licensed)

In short, all Western inactivated vaccines are highly immunogenic with an excellent safety profile, with very good long-term protection after the full series. Single-dose schedules are used in some Latin American countries for cost-effectiveness, with strong medium-term protection. Vaccines are used in universal childhood programs, as well as for travelers and high-risk groups in both routine and outbreak settings.
